Laura Hayward stands out for her exceptional professionalism. She is highly attentive to, and respectful of, the use of academic terminology and conceptual definitions. Her editorial interventions are almost surgical in their precision, improving the text without altering the author's main arguments, ideas, or distinctive expressions.
She is also highly collaborative, always available to answer authors' questions and support them in improving their manuscripts. Personally, I was particularly impressed by her meticulous work in checking and refining the bibliography and ensuring the consistency and clarity of footnotes and layout. Her extensive knowledge of different publishing formats makes the collaboration with authors remarkably smooth and efficient. This, combined with her responsiveness and consistent respect for deadlines, makes her an outstanding professional to work with.
