This beautiful reversible coin necklace has been created using a casting taken directly from a second century BC coin from the ancient Greek city of Ephesus. The coin depicts a bee and a stag, which were animals sacred to Artemis, the patron goddess of Ephesus. The bee was a symbol of diligence and perseverance and the stag was associated with grace and strength.
Worn alone or layered with other pieces, this necklace is a little piece of ancient treasure.
